Human Rights Relief

MIC is also actively involved in the Human Rights activities and dedicated to implementing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at local, regional, state and national. Its membership is comprised of individuals, educators and groups throughout the nation who are actively forwarding the knowledge and protection of human rights by and for all Mankind.

Its purpose is to provide human rights educational resources and activities that inform, assist and unite individuals, educators, organizations and governmental bodies in the dissemination and adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at every level of society.

Surveys have found that most people have only a limited understanding of human rights. The Declaration contains the thirty rights that together form the basis of a civilization wherein all people can enjoy the freedoms to which they are entitled, and nations can coexist in peace.

MIC mission is to "unite people in the common cause of defending human rights and promoting liberal democracy, to ensure that freedom is both preserved and promoted".

MIC adheres to the definition of human rights as put forth in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (1976), believing that all individuals are entitled to the right to speak freely, the right to worship in the manner of their choice, the right to freely associate with those of like mind, the right to acquire and dispose of property, the right to leave and enter their country, the right to equal treatment and due process under law, the right to be able to participate in the government of their country, freedom from arbitrary detainment or exile, freedom from slavery and torture, and freedom from interference and coercion in matters of conscience. We are increasing our network with the human rights NGOs to promote human rights at national Level. MIC - United for Human Rights chapters are active nationwide, educating people on their human rights. You can take an active role to forward the cause of human rights in your community or professional area. To join an existing human rights chapter or start a group in your city or town, conact us through this online form and we will connect your to your nearest chapter or help get you the tools you need to start your own. Please provide us as much information as possible about your interests or any current activities you are part of so we can assist you to get started.
