Research reveals that the attention span is reduced from 60 seconds 7.25 seconds by Microsoft (in the year 2015), but over a period of time it has reduced to further to 4 seconds. We have to increase our attention span which is very important.
We have stored our driving activities in our brain, and it often works on autopilot when our mind isn't fully focused. However, we have not stored the road safety cognitive activities, so when our mind is off the task, the brain goes into a rest state. When the mind returns to focus, the brain takes about 1.3 seconds to react, but accidents can happen in just 1 second. We have to store cognitive activities in the brain to make it more active when the mind is absent which is utmost important. Prepare and prevent is better than repair and repent.
If you agree with this, consider enrolling in road safety cognitive activity training. If you're unsure, take a cognitive test to check your ability to stay focused while driving.
