 Accountability or Victimity
National Road Safety Survey - Submit your vote
The video above shows that clapping requires two hands and two parties to collide. Road users tend to blame and hold others responsible for road accidents while both parties are responsible for preventing and provoking road accidents. True prevention is not preventing the accident from happening in the last place, but preventing accidents from happening in the first place. Remember that when the disaster strikes the time for preparation has already passed. Taking action to prevent disaster is humane and waiting for the disaster to occur then take action is in humane. By failing to prepare we are preparing to fail. Road accidents can be prevented with as much certainty as they can be provoked, and we who fail to prevent them are to be blamed for the dead. When it comes to privacy and accountability, people always demand the privacy for themselves and the accountability for everyone else. Accountability feels like an attack when we are unwilling to acknowledge how our behavior on the roads harms others. At the end of the day, we are accountable for ourselves because our safety is a result of our actions and behavior on the roads. Do you want to join an accountability group or a victimity group?
